RFID Skimming Alarm & Active Jamming Technology
RFID Explainer
• What is RFID? : RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, a technology used to digitally encode identification or financial data and wirelessly transmit it using radio waves. This technology is commonly used in credit cards, passports, and other forms of ID to facilitate quick scanning without physical contact.
RFID Blocking
• Anti-Theft RFID Blocking Technology is an added level of protection that the Micro Wallet Finder ads to your wallet by using "Active Jamming Technology" the card makes any signals near it temporarily unreadable.
• The Micro Wallet Finder works on the Standard Credit Card Frequency 13.56 MHz and does not interfere with Security Door passes, Passports or Car key fobs which use other frequencies considered "low band" transfers.
• No Battery Required with built-in internal circuitry. The RFID Blocking features of the Micro Wallet Finder do not require any battery charge to activate. Even if the card battery is dead the RFID Active Jamming Technology will remain active.
• Energy Harvesting allows the Micro Wallet Finder to use the external RFID Signals as it's own power source, harvesting the RFID waves to power the internal circuitry to create a new signal that makes any other RFID card near it unreadable.
• Maximum Protective Area Total 2 Inch Radius Protection Around each Card when cards are placed directly above or below the card. Protection is minimized if cards do not directly overlap. Any card overlapping by 1 inch or less will not be protected.
• Added RFID Protection If you want to add additional RFID protection to other areas of your wallet or purse that have RFID cards you can purchase a "Mighty Card" to cover those areas that offers the same protection for additional storage areas.
RFID Skimming Alarm
• The Audible Skimming Alarm will sound when in proximity to external RFID/NFC skimming frequencies of 13.56 MHz adding an additional level of peace of mind for consumers concerned about RFID vulnerabilities.
• Testing your RFID Skimming Alarm. Simply using your Micro Wallet Finder at a tap-to-pay checkout payment system should activate the alarm. Please note that the alarm is activated for strong 13.56 MHz frequency signals. Lower strength signals may not trigger alarm for payment systems like Square or Leaf payment terminals, which are optimized for mobile use and employ adaptive power modulation. The best source for testing would be an RFID enable ATM, Gas Station Payment or Vending Machine equipped with the RFID wave icon symbol.
Is RFID Blocking Foolproof?
-
Highly Effective but Not Absolute: While RFID blocking significantly increases security, no protective measure is 100% foolproof. It is part of a comprehensive approach to data security, including physical and digital safety practices.
- RFID Itself is the Most Secure Credit Card Transaction Method Still to this day many consumers actively seek out products that have the added protection of RFID blocking for peace of mind.
